Best North Shore 2007: Mezzogiorno

Mezzogiorno

Finally, after a wait that their customers consider way too long, Sidney and Enrique's former Mezzaluna has re-opened as Mezzogiorno. With the passion and creative flair they're known for, they have transformed their beachfront Bucerias house into a happening indoor-outdoor Italian restaurant, sure to become one of the most popular places to eat north of Vallarta. And while guests delight in the spectacular sunsets and sea breezes, it's the fabulous Italian dishes that keep them coming back: savory calamari-fritti, fresh fish, soups and prime cuts of meat, as well as the great salads and pastas that made Mezzaluna a hit. Dinners are served in an air-conditioned, non-smoking environment or out on the deck, bars in both areas. And by the end of November, lunches will be served right on the beach — paninis, salads and other delicious light fare, along with a special selection of Chardonnays — in a beach club ambiance.
